IQALUIT (November 30, 2011) – Last week at their Annual General Meeting, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) delegates unanimously passed a resolution urging an agreement on devolution of control over Crown land and resources from the federal government to the GN without further delay.
(Iqaluit, Nunavut) Training in Nunavut takes a giant leap forward this month as Nunavut Arctic College launches the first of five online courses in the Municipal Training Organization’s (MTO) popular Municipal Government Program (MGP). Building on the successful pilot computer training last winter, the “Introduction to Northern Government” will be delivered online to participants across Nunavut starting November 28th. The course covers the structure, history and operations of territorial and municipal governments in Nunavut.
The Municipal Training Organization has elected new officers from the Board of Directors who were nominated at the MTO AGM. The MTO is pleased to announce that Ed Murphy has been elected President. Mr. Murphy brings a great deal of experience to the MTO and is also the Senior Administrative Officer for the municipality of Arviat. The MTO looks forward to working with Mr. Murphy in the years to come.

(Iqaluit, NU, July 26, 2011) - Nunavut Arctic College and RBC are teaming up to establish a new, Nunavut-based Bachelor of Applied Business Administration in Accounting Degree program. RBC, through its charitable foundation, will contribute $150,000 to help develop the program, the first of its kind in the North.
