Four Top Canadian Universities Sign Joint MOU with Yukon, Aurora and Nunavut Arctic Colleges
Whitehorse, YT – Students attending college in Canada’s three northern territories will soon have greater opportunities to further their studies at other universities. That’s because of a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed today in Yellowknife, NWT between Yukon, Aurora and Nunavut Arctic Colleges and Dalhousie University, University of Laval, University of Alberta and University of Ottawa.

Education Programs visit Cambridge Bay NTEP students
The weather was cold but the welcome was warm last week in Cambridge Bay.
During the visit we met with:

- Connie Kapolak - Principal / Cambridge Bay High School
- Grade 12 Graduating Students
- Arctic College Personnel
We were appreciative of the efforts to accommodate us in various schedules. This was especially true with regard to our presentation on Nunavut Teacher Education Program (NTEP) and Arctic College Programs to the Grade 12 students. They were attentive and interested.

Cambridge Bay women to walk the Coronation Gulf to raise funds for cancer research
IQALUIT, Nunavut (December 13, 2011) Six women in Action will be taking Steps of Hope towards a shared vision of health and wellness from Umingmaktuuq to Cambridge Bay, approximately 155 miles across the Coronation Gulf in May 2012.

Making connections in Cambridge Bay with the Nunavut Teacher Education Program
The Nunavut Teacher Education Program recently had the opportunity to visit the Community of Cambridge Bay (Iqaluktuuttiaq).
From Desks to Desktop: Nunavut Arctic College and MTO Launch Program to Support Municipal Employees
(Iqaluit, Nunavut) Training in Nunavut takes a giant leap forward this month as Nunavut Arctic College launches the first of five online courses in the Municipal Training Organization’s (MTO) popular Municipal Government Program (MGP). Building on the successful pilot computer training last winter, the “Introduction to Northern Government” will be delivered online to participants across Nunavut starting November 28th. The course covers the structure, history and operations of territorial and municipal governments in Nunavut.
