A day in the life of a Student in Arctic Nursing Featured
Written by Tina-Linette Campbell, 3rd year Student Nurse(Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada) - It is 0600 hours; time for me to wake up and prepare for another clinical shift at the Qikiqtani General Hospital (QGH).
For one of our third year classes, we have two eight hour shifts a week that contributes to the requirements for a passing grade. Our shift for this semester starts at 0710 on the dot and we are to come prepared with our completed patient(s) research, Care Plans and medication cards for all the medication we will be administering throughout the day.
