Free Condoms

Written by  Government of Nunavut News

Protecting yourself and your partner during sex is important and is a sign of respect for yourself and your partner. Free condoms are available at Health Centres, Public Health offices and specific businesses throughout Nunavut. This is an ongoing program to promote safe sex. So far this year, thousands of condoms have been given out.

Nunavut has the highest incidence of STIs in Canada, but had no new diagnosed cases of HIV/AIDS in 2011. This year, there have been more than 1,600 cases of Chlamydia and over 600 cases of gonorrhea.
