Food for thought: Survival Skills Instead of “Education”
Written by Frank PearceWith reference to “Education Week” I am late this year in submitting my proposal that the name be changed to “Survival Skills Week”. Perhaps it may be applied next year. My reason is quite simple and straightforward.
Just think what the next generation will be able to do.
It is my pleasure and honor to write as the first guest editor for Nunavut Echo News. I think this is going to be a wonderful thing. It will certainly let others know more about what Arctic College is all about and wonderful things that are happening for Inuit people of Nunavut.

People everywhere are confronted with worries about their life and the environment. Often people worry about things that don't even exist or, things that never will happen. Worry gets the best of people who do nothing but think, think and think about things that seem to be going against them. Sometimes this can lead to resentment towards other people and doing things to hurt them in order to, somehow, appease the worry or get people's attention.
When a language dies ...
We live and learn. Every day of our lives we learn something about ourselves, about others, or about the world around us. We learn in different ways, at different speeds.
