You could win! All winning photos will be exhibited at the International Polar Year conference, From Knowledge to Action, from 22-27 April, 2012 in Montréal’s Palais des Congrès.
Researchers, explorers and international representatives from more than 60 countries are expected to attend this event to discuss how to address issues of climate change in the North and South Poles going forward.
Winning images from Cold Snap will become part of the discussions.
In addition, the following prizes will be awarded:
Category winner (4) A cash prize of $500
First runner up (4) A cash prize of $250
Second runner up (4) A cash prize of $100 and a copy of Two Ways of Knowing by David and Doug Barber.

How to enter
For the first time, Photo Club is opening this contest to photographers around the world. Sign up to the Canadian Geographic Photo Club, and submit your photographs.
Only photos submitted online through the contest website will be considered.
